This policy is reviewed regularly and updated to reflect changes in technology, regulations, and best practices.
At Next Page Publishing Inc., we embrace innovation—but never at the cost of authenticity, trust, or human connection.
This policy outlines how we use artificial intelligence (AI) across our business in alignment with our brand values: Transparency. Results Focused. People First, Profit Second.
We believe AI can be a helpful assistant, but it should never replace real people or real relationships.
What Are Our Boundaries with AI?
AI is a tool, not a replacement for human creativity or leadership.
We do not use AI, or allow the use of AI, to:
- Write or ghostwrite manuscripts
- Replace the roles of authors, editors, strategists, or designers
- Make final decisions without human review
- Store or process private client materials without consent
- Mislead, plagiarize, or compromise integrity
We use AI responsibly, in limited ways that enhance, not diminish, human work.
AI created content in manuscripts is strictly prohibited.
How Do We Use AI?
AI supports internal processes, creative exploration, and thought leadership. For example, we may use AI to:
- Brainstorm content ideas or rough drafts for product creation, marketing plans and materials, and business planning/growth strategies
- Summarize meeting notes or assist with scheduling
- Create supporting content such as book synopses, author biographies, titles, taglines, marketing content, etc. (when approved by the client and with direct support from a human team member)
- Improve internal efficiency through automation or data processing
- Enhance design elements or audio refinement using thoroughly vetted and approved platforms
All AI-generated or assisted content is reviewed, refined, and approved by a team member before it is shared publicly or with clients.
All AI-generated or assisted content that is intended for client use is reviewed by a team member and approved by the client.
What Kind of Content Do We Input into AI?
We do not input:
- Unpublished manuscripts
- Private or personal client information
- Legal contracts or confidential business agreements with identifiers such as names, locations or other personal information
We may input:
- Internal planning materials
- Human-built summaries of work
- Marketing copy or brainstorming notes
- Public-facing content for editing or enhancement
In all cases, data is anonymized or redacted when necessary and input only into secure, reputable tools.
Do We Disclose AI-Generated Content?
Yes, when AI plays a meaningful role in creating public-facing content, we disclose it.
We will always let clients know if AI was used in any part of their project and ensure the final product is fully human-reviewed and aligned with our standards.
What Role Does AI Play in Our Brand?
AI supports our team in being more creative, strategic, and efficient. It helps us serve our clients better, but it never replaces the heart of our work: meaningful relationships, thoughtful storytelling, and expert human judgment.
Who Uses AI at Next Page Publishing?
Only trained and authorized team members are permitted to use AI tools.
They are responsible for:
Protecting your privacy
Ensuring compliance with platform terms
Reviewing and editing all AI-supported content
No client materials are input or shared without permission.
Our Non-Negotiables
We do not:
- Pass AI-generated content off as original without review or disclosure.
- All Authors sign a non-AI use in manuscripts clause in contracts. Our published and endorsed books from Authors are 100% human-written.
- Use tools that fail to meet privacy and data security standards
- Rely on AI to do the work that should be done by experts
- Feed sensitive data into public or open AI models
We review every AI tool we use and do not engage with or utilize any that violate our ethics or standards.
Platforms We Use with AI Capabilities
We may use AI-enabled features in the following platforms for internal and marketing purposes only:
- ChatGPT (for reviewing internal documents, creating social media content and as a thought partner for ideal validation and exploration)
- Motion, Fathom (scheduling and meeting summaries)
- Podcastle.AI, Swell AI, ElevenLabs (audio editing support)
We do not use these platforms to process client manuscripts or sensitive materials unless clearly consented to and appropriate data protection measures are in place.
